Winchester Land Trust Joins the Greenprint
Wednesday, January 28, 2015
Winchester Land Trust board member Shelley Harms stopped by HVA and present the Land Trust's first-time $250 membership check to Litchfield Hills Greenprint Director Tim Abbott. This membership has been a long term goal for the Land Trust, and after the Greenprint helped them identify and successfully secure federal Highlands Funds for a vital land protection project, the value of closer involvement with the Greenprint was clear to all. Winchester Land Trust becomes the 24th conservation organization to join the Litchfield Hills Greenprint Collaborative, widely regarded as one of the most effective Regional Conservation Partnerships in the Northeast United States.
Winchester Land Trust was founded in 1988 and according to its website protects and cares for 311 acres of land with another 50 under easement.
